When does registration start?

Registration will start January 22, 2022. You will be able to register for the 2022 football season on January 22, 2022 online.  We will also have In-Person sign-ups at various locations starting in Febuary, please check back on the website in the calendar section for times and locations.  

When is the first day of practice?

Pop Warner official practices start on August 1, 2022.  We do start conducting conditioning/agilities camps in June/July of every year. 

Are conditioning camps mandatory or is there a cost to attend?

No, conditioning camps are not mandatory.  Cost is free.  They are a great way to get back into football shape and if new, a great way for your child to get some basic football and cheer fundamentals.  Please check back on the website to see time and locations for the 2022 camps.

What days are practices, games and how long is the season?

- We start voluntary conditioning camps typically June through July from 6-8pm.  This is two days a week.

- Our season officially starts AUGUST 1st with the first day of practice. Practices and home games are held at Etiwanda Creek Park.  

• The first month(August) is just practices that are held 5 days a week, from 6-8.  
• Our first game of the season is either the last week of August or first week of September.
• Games are held on Saturdays. 
• Once games start all teams cut practices to 3 days a week. Days depend on coach and field availability.
• We have an 8 game season, then there are playoff games. Typically most teams end around the Thanksgiving or the weeks before.
• For divisions that do not have a playoff or if your team did not make the playoff, you will play between 8 - 10 games a season including optional Bowl game/s. 
• The official schedule is not out until after all teams in the Mt Baldy Football Conference have been certified which is around the middle or end of August. This is not controlled by Rancho Pop Warner.

What determines the fee charged to play?

In an effort to increase the transparency about what it cost to play and run Rancho Cucamonga Pop Warner and Cheer we have created the following breakdown of what we pay.  We are a 100% volunteer league and rely on registration fees and sponsorships to cover the operating cost to run Rancho Cucamonga Pop Warner and Cheer. The cost will change from year to year the following will give you a clearer picture of where registration fees and fundraising money is being spent.   Below is a breakdown of some of the costs that are paid with the registration fees based on the last few years.  Just like most of you we also face yearly insurance and fee increases.  Reconditioning or purchases of equipment also seem to increase on a year-to-year basis.  Below are a few of the fees that are covered by registration and sponsorships.  They are averages based off a team with 25 rostered participants.  Our teams can have between 18 to 35  rostered participants.
